Hi, Aimee. I recently joined weight watchers. I read your current weight status. I was just like you and it seemed like I just did not care about myself to take the time to fix the meals and exercise. Fast food was the easiest way. No time. No effort. I love myself and know that I need to be a healthier person. So I'm taking the steps. Also, I encouraged my friends and mom to do the same. I would like to encourage you as well. Having worked at the university almost 20 years, I believed my seniority would protect me from the latest round of budget cuts. Hah! Along with my job, I also lost free use of the campus fitness center. I still can't believe how quickly the weight came back on. Soon I had a closet full of clothing I could no longer wear. I had given all my plus-size clothing to Goodwill, believing I would never wear those sizes again. Too humiliated to walk once more into the plus-size department, I shopped online. All I wanted to do was eat, to try and calm the angry, bitter feelings I had. My arthritis, which had been greatly helped by exercising at the fitness center, made a painful return. The worse I felt, the more I ate. I tried several times to re-start Weight Watchers, but I couldn't stick with it. My motivation was gone. Once more, I've restarted the program, at home. I can't face the weigh-ins, and the leader I liked so much has moved away. So far I've lost 10 pounds.
